House Cleaning Service Financial District Residents Keep On Speed Dial
Down here the day starts before the opening bell and ends long after the last desk light goes off. Nobody wants to spend a Saturday scrubbing a shower in a converted office tower. Lily Maids is the house cleaning service Financial District residents book when they want it handled: insured, background-checked cleaners, flat upfront pricing, and online booking in about 60 seconds. We know the doormen, the freight elevators, and the 6pm loading dock cutoffs.
A real Lily Maids story
Sarah K. had a doorbell ringing in four hours.
Sarah K. called us from her desk on a Thursday. Friends from out of town had moved their flight up, they were landing at JFK that afternoon, and her Financial District one-bedroom looked like the end of a very long quarter. Dishes stacked, laundry on the chair, and a bathroom she was frankly embarrassed about.
Our team was in the building by two. Kitchen first, then the bathroom, then the living room and the guest bedding, working room by room the way we always do. By the time her guests were in the elevator the place was spotless and, in her words, smelling amazing. She told us her friends were beyond impressed. Wall Street runs on early mornings and late nights, and thats the rhythm we clean around.
That is what a house cleaning service Financial District locals can actually count on looks like. Fast when the clock is against you. Careful every other time. We are a locally owned team of insured, background-checked cleaners based right here at 101 Wall Street, serving FiDi, Battery Park City, Tribeca, and the rest of lower Manhattan. Need a single reset before company arrives, a deep cleaning that gets behind the radiator, or a recurring plan so the place never slips again? Pick a time, see the flat price, come home to clean.

Our services
Every clean a FiDi apartment could need.
Ask anyone living below Fulton Street what they run short on and the answer is time. That's where we come in. Pick the service that fits, book online, and we handle the rest. See pricing or how it works.
Every-visit checklist
Standard Basic Cleaning.
Most people who look for a house cleaning service Financial District wide want one simple thing: to walk in the door and stop thinking about it. Our standard basic cleaning is that visit. Kitchen counters, stovetop, sink and appliance fronts. Bathrooms scrubbed and sanitized top to bottom. Every surface dusted, mirrors and glass wiped, beds made, floors vacuumed and mopped, trash out.
It's the same standard cleaning checklist on visit one and visit thirty, which is the whole point. Kevin P., a consultant on Water Street, told us his place had months of dust buildup from a travel-heavy quarter. One standard visit plus a little extra time on the bedroom pulled the stale feeling right out of the apartment. You recieve a text before the team arrives so you're never guessing.
Almost everyone here rents an apartment
Apartment Cleaning.
The Financial District is full of old office buildings turned into apartments, which makes for some unusual homes. Odd column placements. Deep windowless interior rooms. Galley kitchens with about eleven inches of counter. Small spaces are actually harder to clean well, because every surface works overtime and clutter has nowhere to hide.
Our teams are trained for exactly this: narrow bathrooms, tall glass that shows every streak, and buildings with strict hallway and freight rules. Most FiDi buildings have have a service elevator you need to book ahead, and we handle that call with the front desk so you don't have to. Laura C. works from home off Broad Street and needed her office corner camera-ready; that's a 90-minute fix, not a whole-day project. Ongoing help pairs well with a schedule, so plenty of clients start with apartment cleaning and move to bi-weekly.

The same trained team, every time
Maid Service.
Some people want a cleaning. Other people want a maid service: a familiar face on a set day who knows where the good towels live and which shelf holds the glass cleaner. Our maid service clients get the same insured, background-checked cleaners following the same checklist, and we keep your team consistent whenever the schedule allows.
That consistency matters more than people expect. Daniel S. arranged visits for his elderly parents nearby and what he cared about was not just cleanliness but respect, and having the same people show up so his parents were comfortable. Stephanie M. needed careful disinfecting after her husband came home from the hospital, and having a team that already knew the apartment made the whole thing calmer. Housekeeping service on a routine is quietly one of the most useful things you can buy back.
Homes only, by design
Residential Cleaning.
We do residential cleaning and nothing else. No office contracts, no lobbies, no retail. It sounds like a limitation and it's actually the reason we're good at this. A home has kids' handprints at knee height, a dog bed that needs vacuuming around, a bathroom shared by three people, and a kitchen where somebody actually cooks.
Robert F. juggles two kids and a full-time job in the neighborhood and told us the grime in the bathrooms and kitchen was the thing he could never get to. That's normal. Those are the two rooms that take real time, and they're the two rooms we budget the most minutes for. If you want to see exactly where those minutes go, the full cleaning checklist lays it out room by room.

Top to bottom, inside out
Deep Cleaning.
Every apartment down here has places the weekly wipe-down never reaches. Inside the oven and the fridge. Behind and under furniture. Baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, cabinet interiors, window tracks, and the radiator dust that piles up all winter in a building with steam heat.
A deep cleaning gets all of it. It's also the smart first visit before starting a recurring plan, and it's the one people book when the air in the apartment just feels heavy. Patricia H. has bad seasonal allergies and said the difference after a deep clean was immediate. That tracks with what the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences says about household dust and indoor allergens, and the NYC Health Department makes the same point about closed-up city apartments. Jennifer B. used one after a kitchen renovation, when construction dust had coated literally every surface. See what a deep cleaning includes.
Before the keys change hands
Move in and Move out Cleaning.
Moving in this part of Manhattan is a logistics puzzle before you even get to the cleaning. Freight elevator windows, certificates of insurance, loading dock cutoffs. The last thing you need at 11pm is a bucket and a sponge in an empty apartment.
Our move-out cleaning follows the checklists NYC landlords actually use at your landlords final walkthrough: inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside every cabinet and drawer, plus baseboards, closets, and window sills. James R. credits it with getting his deposit back in full, and the New York Attorney General's guidance on security deposits is worth a read before you hand over keys, since ordinary wear and tear is treated differently from a place left dirty. Moving in instead? Move-in cleaning happens before the boxes land so night one is in a genuinely clean home. Use code MOVE30 and save $30 without loosing a day to it.
Ongoing care
Recurring Cleaning.
The best-kept apartments in the neighborhood are not cleaned harder, they're cleaned regularly. Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly recurring plans put home care on the calendar before the to-do list eats it. Bi-weekly is the sweet spot for most FiDi one and two-bedrooms.
There's a real cost saving too, since recurring visits are priced below one-off cleanings and each visit takes less time when nothing has had six weeks to build up. Stack it with code FLEXIBLE for a wider arrival window and you're saving on every visit. Michael D. and his wife started with a nesting clean in her third trimester and just kept the schedule going after the baby came home, which is how most of our long-term clients started. Same standard every time, and the same team whenever we can manage it.
No contract, no subscription
One Time Cleaning.
Sometimes you don't want a plan, you want one really good clean and then you'll take it from there. That's a one time cleaning, and it's how a lot of people meet us. There's no contract, no auto-renewal, and no phone call to cancel anything.
Jessica L. booked one before Thanksgiving so she could cook instead of scrub the guest bathroom. Amanda T. booked one for the day she landed after a three-week work trip, so she came home to a fresh apartment instead of a stale one. Charles J. booked one before a real estate open house and his agent was thrilled with how the place showed. Different reasons, same booking flow, and code NEW10 takes 10% off if it's your first visit with us.
More ways we clean.
Housekeeping service on a routine, same day cleaning service when the plan falls apart, and Airbnb cleaning service for hosts with a 10am checkout and a 3pm check-in. Brian G. runs back-to-back bookings in a FiDi one-bedroom and needs a turnaround that lands every time, which is really a turnover cleaning problem more than a cleaning problem. We also do spring resets, morning-after party cleanups, and post-renovation dust removal. Occassionally people ask if we handle just one room; yes, that's fine too.

Questions and answers
The details before you book.
These are the questions Financial District residents ask us most. Every answer is open by default, so nothing is hidden behind a click. Still curious? Our full FAQ page goes deeper.
What is included in a standard house cleaning? 01
Every standard visit covers the kitchen (counters, stovetop, sink, appliance exteriors, cabinet fronts), bathrooms (tub, shower, toilet, vanity, mirrors), all living areas and bedrooms (dusting, surfaces, mirrors, beds made), plus vacuuming and mopping throughout and trash removal. See the full standard cleaning checklist and our complete cleaning checklist for the room-by-room detail.
Do you clean Financial District buildings with freight elevator rules? 02
Yes, and this comes up constantly down here. A lot of FiDi buildings are converted offices with a service entrance, a separate freight car, and a window when it can be used. Tell us your building at booking and we handle the front desk coordination, including a certificate of insurance if management asks for one. If your building requires cleaners to sign in with photo ID, that's fine, our teams carry it.
Do you bring cleaning supplies? 03
Yes. Our teams arrive with professional supplies and equipment, so you never have to stock a thing. Prefer green products because of kids or pets? Ask for certified green products in your booking notes and we'll use them. If you love a specific product for a specific surface, like a stone-safe cleaner for a marble counter, leave it out with a note and the team will use that instead.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning? 04
No, and most of our Financial District clients aren't. Half of them are two blocks away at their desk. Doorman handoff, lockbox, or a smart-lock code all work fine, just add access instructions in your booking notes. We coordinate with front desks and follow building rules so you don't have to leave a meeting. See preparing for your cleaning for a quick pre-visit rundown.
Can I book same-day cleaning in the Financial District? 05
Often, yes - it depends on that day's schedule. Being based at 101 Wall Street genuinely helps here, because a team finishing nearby can sometimes reach you in under an hour. Guests landing tonight? Book online or call (646) 825-3550 and we'll confirm the earliest available window. More on our same-day cleaning page. Booking a day or two ahead always gives you the most time options.
How does move-out cleaning work? 06
Your home should be empty, or close to it, so we can reach inside cabinets, the oven, the fridge, and every corner a landlord checks at the walkthrough. Tell us about elevator reservations or building access rules when you book, since FiDi moves are usually scheduled to the hour. Follow our move-out cleaning checklist to see the full scope - and code MOVE30 saves $30 on any move-in or move-out cleaning.
Can you turn over an Airbnb between guests? 07
Yes. A guest turnover is its own thing: linens stripped and remade, bathroom reset, kitchen checked for leftovers, trash out, and the whole place staged to look like nobody was ever there. Its usually a tighter window than a regular clean, so we schedule turnovers first thing when we can. Details on short-term rental cleaning and turnover cleaning, plus the rental cleaning checklist.
Can you sanitize after someone in the house was sick? 08
Yes. After a cold or flu goes through a household we focus on high-touch surfaces: door handles, light switches, faucets, remotes, cabinet pulls, and bathroom fixtures. That's exactly what we did for Stephanie M. when her husband came home from the hospital and she needed the apartment ready for a recovery, not a scrub-down. Add a note at booking and we'll prioritize disinfection.
What if I am not happy with the clean? 09
Tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and re-clean the areas in question at no charge. That's our promise on every visit, in every neighborhood. Read the full satisfaction guarantee for how it works.
