House Cleaning Service Upper West Side New York City Neighbors Trust
Pre-war layouts, long hallways, radiators that throw dust all winter, and a doorman who needs your name on a list. We clean the Upper West Side every week, from Lincoln Square up to 110th, so we already know your building type. Insured, background-checked cleaners. Flat price before we knock. Booking takes about a minute.
A real Upper West Side story
David R. had five hours and two in-laws on a plane.
David R. lives in a pre-war building off West 78th, three blocks from the Museum of Natural History. His in-laws were flying in for their first visit ever, and he called us mid-morning sounding like a man watching a clock. The kitchen had a week of dishes behind it. The guest room had turned into storage. He said the words we hear constantly on this side of the park: "I don't even know where to start."
Our team started where we always do. Kitchen first, bathrooms second, then bedrooms and floors last so nothing gets tracked back over clean tile. Two cleaners, room by room, radiator covers wiped, baseboards done, guest bed made with fresh linens. By 5:40 the apartment smelled like nothing at all, which is exactly what clean smells like. David texted us a photo of his mother-in-law setting her bag down in the hallway and smiling.
That call happens a lot up here, and its usually the exact same panic. This is what a house cleaning service Upper West Side New York City residents actually keep in their phone looks like: fast when the clock is against you, thorough when there's no rush at all. We are a locally owned team of insured, background-checked cleaners. You pick the service, you see the flat price, and you come home to a place you don't have to fix. Try a deep cleaning first, then keep it that way with a recurring plan.

Our services
Every clean your home could need.
Ask a neighbor on Amsterdam what they run out of first and the answer is time. That's the gap we fill. Pick the service that fits your week, book it online, and we take it from there. See pricing or how it works.
Most of the neighborhood lives in one
Apartment Cleaning for UWS Buildings.
Apartment Cleaning up here is its own skill. The buildings between Central Park West and Riverside are mostly pre-war, which means high ceilings, deep window sills, parquet floors that scratch if you use the wrong pad, and radiators that collect a winter's worth of grey dust. Small kitchens work overtime and there's nowhere for clutter to hide.
Our cleaners are trained on those exact conditions. We use a flat mop on parquet instead of soaking it. We dust window sills and radiator covers by hand. We work the kitchen in one pass so nothing gets missed behind the toaster. And we know the building side of it too: which co-ops want us on a list at the front desk, which walk-ups mean carrying supplies up five flights, and which service elevators need a time slot.
If your place is a studio near Lincoln Square or a classic six on West End, the price is still flat and quoted up front. Full details live on our apartment cleaning service page, and neighbors across the park can compare with house cleaning on the Upper East Side.
People, not just products
Maid Service on the Upper West Side.
Maid Service means the same trained people showing up and doing the same list, so you stop having to explain your home every time. When we can, we send the same cleaner or pair to the same address. They learn that your dog hides under the bed, that the guest bath sink stains fast, and that you like the throw pillows a certain way.
Every cleaner on the team is insured and background-checked before they ever hold a key. You'll recieve a text before the team is on the way, so you're not sitting home guessing. Most of our clients up here are at work or walking the kids to school when we come, and that works fine.
Want it on the calendar automatically? Pair maid service with a recurring schedule and you'll stop thinking about it entirely.
The baseline visit
Standard Basic Cleaning, start to finish.
Standard Basic Cleaning is the visit most people book first. We we start in the kitchen: counters, backsplash, stovetop, appliance fronts, sink scrubbed and dried so it doesn't spot. Then bathrooms, where the tub, tile, toilet, vanity and mirror all get done. Then living areas and bedrooms get dusted and wiped, beds made, mirrors and glass cleaned. Floors go last, vacuumed and then mopped, and trash goes out on the way.
Nothing about that list changes based on who shows up or how busy the day is. That's the whole point of having a checklist. You can read the room-by-room version on what a standard cleaning includes, or see the master cleaning checklist if you want the long form.
If you're not sure whether you need standard or deep, here's the simple rule we give people: if it's been under a month since a real clean, standard is fine. Longer than that, or you've never had a service in, start deep once and then keep it standard after.
Homes, not offices
Residential Cleaning built for this neighborhood.
Residential Cleaning is all we do. No offices, no retail, no construction sites unless it's the tail end of your own renovation. That focus matters, because homes are personal. There's a stack of mail you don't want touched, a shelf of records that shouldn't be moved, a kid's art project drying on the table.
The Upper West Side throws a mix at us: townhouses on the side streets, big pre-war co-ops on Central Park West, newer condos near Columbus Circle, and third-floor walk-ups above the shops on Broadway. We adjust to each one. We check in with the buildings front desk, follow the elevator and service-entrance rules, and keep our carts out of the lobby when that's the policy.
This is a neighborhood with real history, and a lot of these apartments have been lived in for decades. If you like reading about the area, the New-York Historical Society on Central Park West is a few minutes from most of our jobs. Older homes just need a lighter touch, and we bring one.

Top to bottom, inside out
Deep Cleaning for winter dust.
Deep Cleaning reaches the places a weekly wipe-down never gets to. Inside the oven and the fridge. Behind and under furniture. Baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, switch plates, cabinet interiors, and the radiator dust that piles up from October to April in these old steam buildings.
Spring is our busiest deep-clean stretch on this side of the park, and allergies are a big part of why. Closed windows all winter plus steam heat is a rough combination for anyone with asthma, and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America lists indoor dust and pet dander among the most common triggers. We occassionally get calls where the whole reason someone booked was that their kid stopped sleeping through the night.
Deep cleaning is also the right first visit before you start a schedule. Get everything down to baseline once, then maintain it. See the full scope on what a deep cleaning includes, or look at spring cleaning if you'd rather book it seasonally.
Before the keys change hands
Move in and Move out Cleaning.
Move in and Move out Cleaning is the one people wait too long to book. Then it's 11pm on the 31st, the truck is gone, and you're scrubbing an oven you never used. You don't want to loose your deposit over a stove and a bathroom grout line.
Our move-out cleaning works off the same list managers use at the final walkthrough: inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside every cabinet and drawer, closets, window sills, baseboards, and floors. If you're unclear on what a landlord can hold back, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development has plain-language tenant information worth a read before you hand over keys.
Moving in instead? Book move-in cleaning for the day before the boxes land, so your first night is in a place that's actually clean and not just empty. Elevator reservations and seperate service entrances are common in UWS buildings, so tell us those details at booking. Both are covered on the move-in and move-out page, and code MOVE30 takes $30 off. Landlords and owners can also look at turnover cleaning and the move-out cleaning checklist.
Ongoing care
Recurring Cleaning that keeps up with you.
Recurring Cleaning is the quiet trick behind every home you walk into and think "how is it always like this." It isn't cleaned harder. It's cleaned on a schedule, before the mess has time to build.
We run weekly, bi-weekly and monthly plans, and the per-visit rate drops when you're on one. Weekly suits families with young kids and pets, especially in smaller apartments where one bad week is visible everywhere. Bi-weekly is our most popular choice up here. Monthly works for couples and solo households who tidy on their own and just want the heavy stuff handled.
You can skip, move, or pause a visit whenever life changes, which it definately will. Nothing is locked in. See recurring plans and the pricing page for what each frequency costs.
For the weeks that got away
One Time Cleaning, no strings.
One Time Cleaning is exactly what it says. One visit, one flat price, no plan to cancel later. People book it before a dinner party, after a rough month, when a parent is coming to stay, or the morning after a birthday party in a two-bedroom that was never built for twelve kids.
It's also a low-risk way to try us. Plenty of our recurring clients on West End and Riverside started with a single visit and just kept going. There's no pressure either way, and no one will call you to upsell a plan.
Book it on the one-time cleaning page. If the mess is party-shaped, the after-party cleaning page is the better fit.

Ongoing help around the home
Housekeeping Service for busy households.
Housekeeping Service is a step past cleaning. It's the tidying, the resetting, the making-a-room-look-lived-in-not-lived-through part. Linens changed, laundry folded and put away, kitchen reset, toys back in bins, bathroom restocked. For families juggling school pickup at PS 87 and two jobs, that's the difference between a clean apartment and a calm one.
Several of our UWS clients use housekeeping for a parent who lives alone. Michael B. books it for his parents because reaching a tub and hauling a vacuum isn't realistic for them anymore. Others use it while recovering from surgery, or in the last weeks of a pregnancy when bending over is off the table.
You tell us the priorities in your booking notes and we work to them. Read preparing for your cleaning for the two-minute setup that makes a housekeeping visit go smoothest.
When the clock is the problem
Same Day Cleaning Service on the UWS.
Same Day Cleaning Service exists for the calls like David's. Guests landing tonight. A last-minute showing. A relative getting discharged from Mount Sinai Morningside and coming home sooner than expected.
We can't promise same-day every time, because it depends on which teams are already booked and where they are. But the Upper West Side is one of our strongest coverage areas, so your odds here are good. If you call before noon we can usually find something that day, and if we can't, next morning is almost always open.
Call (646) 825-3550 or check same-day cleaning for details. Booking even two days out gives you the widest pick of arrival times and the flexible-window discount on top.
For hosts and owners
AirBnB Cleaning Service and turnovers.
AirBnB Cleaning Service is built around the checkout-to-checkin gap. Linens stripped and remade, bathroom reset, kitchen wiped and dishes done, supplies restocked, trash out, and a quick photo check so you know it's guest-ready before the next arrival.
Hosts near Lincoln Center and Columbus Circle deal with a lot of short stays, and the reviews live and die on cleanliness. A missed hair in a tub costs more in rating than the cleaning cost in the first place. We work off a fixed turnover list so nothing depends on memory.
See short-term rental cleaning, the rental cleaning checklist, and rental property cleaning if you manage more than one unit.

Questions and answers
The details before you book.
These are the questions Upper West Side clients ask us most. Every answer is open by default, so nothing is hidden behind a click. Still curious? Our full FAQ page goes deeper.
How much does house cleaning cost on the Upper West Side? 01
Standard cleanings start at $150 and go up based on bedrooms, bathrooms, and any add-ons like inside the oven or fridge. Deep cleans cost more because they take longer. You see the full flat price before you confirm, and it doesn't change after we arrive. Recurring clients pay less per visit. Full numbers are on the pricing page.
What is included in a standard house cleaning? 02
Kitchen (counters, stovetop, sink, appliance exteriors, cabinet fronts), bathrooms (tub, shower, toilet, vanity, mirrors), all living areas and bedrooms (dusting, surfaces, mirrors, beds made), plus vacuuming and mopping throughout and trash removal. On the Upper West Side we also wipe radiator covers and window sills, since pre-war buildings collect dust there fast. See the standard cleaning checklist and the full cleaning checklist.
Do you bring cleaning supplies? 03
Yes. Our teams arrive with professional supplies and equipment, so you never have to stock a thing. Prefer green products for kids or pets? Ask for EPA Safer Choice certified products in your booking notes and we will use them. If you love a specific product for a specific surface, leave it out with a note and the team will use it.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning? 04
No, and most UWS clients are not. Doorman handoff, lockbox, or a smart-lock code all work. Add your building's access instructions in the booking notes, including whether the front desk needs our names on a list and whether there's a service entrance or elevator we should use. See preparing for your cleaning for a quick pre-visit rundown.
Can you handle a fifth-floor walk-up? 05
Yes, and there's no surcharge for stairs. Plenty of the buildings above the shops on Broadway and Amsterdam are walk-ups, and our teams carry their own supplies up. Just mention the floor number when you book so we plan the load.
Can I book same-day cleaning on the Upper West Side? 06
Often, yes. It depends on that day's schedule, but the Upper West Side is one of our strongest coverage areas so your odds are good, especially if you call before noon. Book online or call (646) 825-3550 and we'll confirm the earliest team. More on the same-day cleaning page.
How does move-out cleaning work in a co-op? 07
Your home should be empty, or close to it, so we can reach inside cabinets, the oven, the fridge, and every corner a landlord or managing agent checks. Tell us about elevator reservations, service entrances, and any building time restrictions when you book, since UWS co-ops are strict about those. Follow the move-out cleaning checklist for the full scope, and code MOVE30 saves $30 on any move-in or move-out cleaning.
Can you help with allergies and winter radiator dust? 08
That's one of our most common spring requests up here. A deep clean covers radiator covers, sills, baseboards, upholstery surfaces, light fixtures, and behind furniture, which is where most of the dust sits. Say so in your notes and we'll prioritize those areas and use fragrance-free products. See what a deep cleaning includes.
Can you sanitize after someone in the house was sick? 09
Yes. After a cold or flu runs through the household, we focus on high-touch surfaces: door handles, switches, faucets, remotes, and bathroom fixtures - in line with everyday CDC hygiene guidance. Robert H. booked exactly this before his sister came home from the hospital. Add a note at booking and we'll prioritize disinfection.
What if I am not happy with the clean? 10
Tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean the areas in question at no charge. That's our promise on every visit, on every block. Read the full satisfaction guarantee for how it works.
