Maid service tidying an East Side Manhattan living room before guests arrive
Upper East Side Dinner-ready by 7pm

A real Lily Maids story

Michael K. had one afternoon. We had two maids.

Michael K. called us from his office on the Upper East Side on a Thursday. Family dinner had been moved up to that night, eleven people were coming, and the apartment was, in his words, a disaster zone. Dishes in the sink from two days. Shoes everywhere. A bathroom nobody should see.

Two of our maids were at his door within a few hours. Kitchen first, because that is where everyone ends up standing. Then both bathrooms, then the dining room, then floors last so nothing got re-tracked. He walked in around six and told us later he was "truly amazed at how fresh and clean everything felt." Nobody at that dinner knew the place had been a wreck at lunchtime.

Its the kind of call we take most weeks. A maid service New York City residents actually keep on speed dial has to do two things well: show up when the calendar goes sideways, and hold the same standard on the boring Tuesday visits nobody is panicking about. That is the whole job. Pick a service, see your flat price, and we take it from there.

What we do

Every kind of clean a city home needs.

Ask around your building and you'll hear the same complaint: not enough hours in the week. Pick the service that matches your situation, book it online, and stop thinking about it. See pricing or read how it works first if you like knowing every step.

The core service

Maid Service.

When people search for a maid service New York City can send out same week, most of them want one simple thing: to stop being the person who cleans the bathroom. That is the job we do. A visit covers the kitchen, every bathroom, all living areas and bedrooms, plus vacuuming and mopping through the whole place and trash taken out.

What makes it work over time is that nothing is improvised. Our maids follow the same written standard cleaning checklist on visit one and visit forty. You never have to leave a note reminding somebody about the stovetop. Everyone is insured, background-checked, and trained on how to clean a small NYC kitchen without knocking half of it over.

Tell us the things that matter to you at booking - a cat who bolts for the door, a nursery that needs green products only, a marble counter that hates acid - and it goes on your file so the next team already knows.

Apartment cleaning in a compact NoHo Manhattan living room

Most of the city lives this way

Apartment Cleaning.

Small spaces are harder to clean well, not easier. In a studio every surface works overtime and there is nowhere for clutter to hide, so a mediocre job shows immediately. Our teams are trained for galley kitchens, half-bath corners, radiator covers, and closets packed to the ceiling.

Buildings matter as much as the apartment. We check in with doormen, use the service elevator when that is the rule, and carry supplies up walk-ups without complaining about the fifth floor. Pre-war co-ops on the Upper East Side, converted lofts in Williamsburg, new towers in Long Island City- each one has its own quirks and we plan around them.

Most people start with one apartment cleaning, see the difference, then put it on a schedule. No pressure either way.

Residential cleaning in a Hudson Heights Manhattan home
Homes, not offices Co-ops · condos · brownstones

Only homes

Residential Cleaning.

We clean homes and nothing else. No office floors, no retail, no construction sites. That focus is why our people are quick in the places that actually get dirty in a home - the shower door, the range hood, the ring under the soap dish, the spot behind the toilet everyone skips.

Homes also come with real life in them. Kids, roommates, dogs, an elderly parent who naps in the afternoon. Our maids work around all of it quietly and treat your things carefully. Indoor air matters too, especially in sealed-up winter apartments; the EPA's guidance on indoor air quality is a good primer on why regular dust removal is worth more than you'd think.

Standard basic cleaning in a Bensonhurst Brooklyn apartment
The weekly baseline Nothing skipped, nothing padded

Know exactly what you get

Standard Basic Cleaning.

This is our most-booked visit and the one you'll want on repeat. Counters and backsplash wiped, stovetop and appliance fronts degreased, sink scrubbed and polished, cabinet fronts cleaned. In bathrooms: tub, shower, tile, toilet inside and out, vanity, mirror, fixtures. Everywhere else: dusting, surfaces, glass, beds made, floors vacuumed and mopped.

What it is not is a deep clean. A standard visit keeps a home that is already in decent shape looking sharp. It does not include the inside of the oven, the inside of the fridge, or scrubbing built-up grout haze - those live in the deep clean. Being straight about that line is why you recieve a price that holds instead of a surprise upcharge at the door.

Not sure which one your place needs? Compare the standard scope against what a deep clean adds, or just call and describe the place honestly. We'd rather book the right thing the first time.

Deep cleaning a bathroom in a Stuyvesant Town Manhattan apartment

Top to bottom, inside out

Deep Cleaning.

Every apartment in this city has spots the weekly wipe-down never touches. Inside the oven. Inside the fridge. Behind and under furniture. Baseboards, door frames, switch plates, light fixtures, cabinet interiors, and the grey radiator dust that builds up all winter long.

A deep clean gets all of it, and it takes noticeably longer than a standard visit because it has to. Spring allergy season is when our phone rings most for this - Kevin O. in Hell's Kitchen booked one for exactly that reason. If dust and dander set you off, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America has practical guidance on cutting indoor triggers, and a thorough clean is a big part of it.

It is also the smartest first visit before starting a recurring plan. Reset the place once, then keep it easy. See the full deep cleaning scope before you book, or ask for it as a seperate one-off any time your home needs a hard reset.

Housekeeping service tidying a Greenwich Village Manhattan bedroom
Beyond surface cleaning Laundry · linens · light tidying

Ongoing help around the house

Housekeeping Service.

Some households need more than clean surfaces. They need the laundry folded, the beds stripped and remade with fresh linens, the dishwasher emptied, and the living room put back to normal before the week starts again. That is housekeeping, and it is the visit families with young kids ask for most.

Housekeeping works best on a regular schedule with the same housekeeper, because after a few visits she knows where the towels go and which shelf the toys belong on. When your working late three nights a week, that familiarity is the whole value. Tell us your priorities at booking and we build the visit around them instead of forcing a generic list.

Want the light-tidying version rather than full housekeeping? Our regular maid visits cover cleaning without the laundry and organizing. Both are bookable on the same online form.

Recurring maid service keeping an Astoria Heights Queens home tidy
Same team, when possible Weekly · bi-weekly · monthly

The homes that always look good

Recurring Cleaning.

The best-kept apartments in the city are not cleaned harder, they're cleaned regularly. Weekly for busy families and pet households. Bi-weekly for most couples and working professionals, which is the sweet spot for cost versus results. Monthly for tidy solo households that just want a reset.

Recurring clients get the the best pricing we offer, and they get priority when the calendar fills up around holidays. David L. set up ongoing visits for his parents in Astoria after they started struggling with an older building, and knowing somebody reliable comes every week changed how the whole family sleeps at night.

Plans are not contracts. Skip a week when you're traveling, move a visit when work explodes, or stop entirely - see the rescheduling policy for the notice window. Compare frequencies and discounts on our recurring plans page.

Just this once

One Time Cleaning.

You dont need a subscription to get help. A one-time visit is perfect before in-laws arrive, after a rough month at work, the morning after a party, or when you simply want to walk into a clean apartment on Friday night. Book it, we come, that's the end of it.

Plenty of one-timers turn into regulars, but nobody's twisting your arm. Related visits people book as one-offs: an after-party cleaning, a spring cleaning once the windows finally open, or a standard one-time clean with no strings.

Move-out cleaning of an empty Carroll Gardens Brooklyn apartment
Deposit-ready standard Empty-home turnovers

Before the keys change hands

Move In and Move Out Cleaning.

Moving in this city is exhausting enough without scrubbing an empty apartment at eleven at night. Our move-out cleaning works through the places a landlord actually opens at the final walkthrough: inside cabinets and drawers, inside the oven, inside the fridge, closet floors, window sills, baseboards, and every bathroom fixture.

Jessica P. in Greenwich Village booked one before handing back a walk-up and got her full deposit returned without an argument. We can't promise your landlord's mood, but we can promise the apartment gives them nothing to point at. If you want to see the scope first, the move-out checklist lists it room by room, and tenants who want to know their rights can read up at NYC Housing Preservation & Development.

Moving in instead? A move-in clean happens before the boxes land, so your first night is spent in a home nobody else's dust is living in. Book either one, or both together, and take $30 off with code MOVE30. Reserve the elevator with your building and tell us the window when you book.

When plans change fast

Same Day Cleaning Service.

Guests land tonight. The apartment showing got moved up. Somebody said yes to hosting without checking with you. It happens constantly, and often we can get a team to you the same day - it depends entirely on that day's route and where you are.

The honest version: call (646) 825-3550 rather than only booking online, because a person looking at the live schedule can tell you in a minute what is possible. Manhattan and Long Island City slots tend to open up latest since teams are already nearby. More detail on our same-day cleaning page. Booking even one day ahead gives you far more choice of arrival times.

Short-term rental turnover cleaning in Long Island City Queens
Guest-ready turnovers Linens · restock · reset

For hosts and landlords

AirBnB Cleaning Service.

Turnovers are a different sport than home cleaning. Tight windows between checkout and check-in, linens to change, kitchen items to put back where the listing photos show them, and a bathroom that needs to look untouched. One bad review over a hair in the tub costs a host months.

We handle short-term rental turnovers on a repeating schedule and communicate when a unit needs something you should know about, like a stain that won't lift or supplies running low. Hosts who need there place turned over the same afternoon should flag the pattern with us so we can hold the slot weekly.

See scope details on short-term rental cleaning, the turnover cleaning page, and rental property cleaning for landlords between tenants. There's a rental checklist too.

A few things that move the number: extra bathrooms cost more than extra bedrooms, since bathrooms take the most labor. A home that hasn't had a real clean in a year needs a deep clean first, not a standard visit. Walk-ups don't carry a surcharge. And recurring plans price lower per visit than one-off bookings, which is why most clients switch after the first clean.

Questions and answers

What people ask before booking.

Every answer is visible right away, nothing hidden behind a click. If your question is not here, call (646) 825-3550 or read the full FAQ page.

What does a maid service visit include? 01

A standard visit covers the kitchen (counters, backsplash, stovetop, sink, appliance exteriors, cabinet fronts), every bathroom (tub, shower, tile, toilet, vanity, mirror, fixtures), all bedrooms and living areas (dusting, surfaces, glass, beds made), plus vacuuming and mopping throughout and trash removal. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, and interior cabinets belong to a deep cleaning. Full detail lives on the cleaning checklist.

Do your maids bring supplies and equipment? 02

Yes, all of it. Vacuum, mop, cloths, and products come with the team, so you never have to stock anything. If you want green products because of kids, pets, or allergies, ask for them in your booking notes. And if you have one product you insist on for a specific surface - a stone-safe cleaner for marble, say - leave it out with a note and we'll use yours instead.

Do I need to be home while you clean? 03

No, and most of our clients aren't. Doorman handoff, a lockbox, or a smart-lock code all work fine - just put the access instructions in your booking notes. We deal with front desks and building rules so you don't have to leave work. See preparing for your cleaning for a two-minute pre-visit rundown.

How long does a cleaning take? 04

It depends on square footage, number of bathrooms, and condition. A studio standard clean is usually the fastest visit of the day; a three-bedroom with two full baths takes considerably longer. Deep cleans and move-out cleans run longest because of the oven, fridge, and cabinet interiors. When you book online you'll see an estimated window, and we text before the team heads over.

Can I get the same maid every visit? 05

We assign the same team to recurring clients whenever the schedule allows, and that consistency is a big reason people stay on a plan. Vacations and sick days happen, so we can't promise it every single week - but your home's notes and preferences follow the booking, not the person, so a fill-in team still knows about the cat, the marble, and the closet nobody opens. Compare frequencies on the recurring cleaning page.

Can I book a maid for today? 06

Often, yes, though it comes down to that day's route and where you live. Calling (646) 825-3550 gets you a faster answer than booking online, because someone can look at the live schedule with you. More on the same-day cleaning page. Booking a day or two out always gives you more arrival-time choices.

What if I need to cancel or move my appointment? 07

Reschedule or cancel within the notice window in our cancellation and rescheduling policy and there's no charge. Recurring clients can skip a week for travel without losing their plan pricing. Let us know as early as you can and we'll move you to the next open slot that works.

What happens if I'm not happy with the clean? 08

Tell us within 24 hours and we come back to re-clean the areas in question at no charge. That applies to every visit, in every borough, on every service. The full terms are on our satisfaction guarantee page.
