One Time Cleaning Service New York City Homes Book When It Counts
Sometimes you don't need a cleaner every week. You need one really good clean, right now - before the in-laws land, after the party, the day you get back from a trip. Lily Maids sends insured, background-checked cleaners for a single visit, with a flat price you see before you book. No contract, no auto-renewal, no phone tag.
A real Lily Maids story
Amanda's loft still had confetti in the floorboards.
Amanda L. called us on a Tuesday afternoon. Her engagement party in Soho had been two weekends earlier, the wedding was already behind her, and the loft still had confetti pressed into the floorboards and a red wine ring on the coffee table. She didn't want a cleaner every week. She didn't want a plan. She wanted one visit that put the place back the way it was before forty people walked through it. "We can finally enjoy looking at our wedding photos without seeing the mess in the background," she told us after.
Its the most common call we get all year. A one time cleaning service New York City residents book for a single moment - guests, a move, a birthday, a flight home - and than they get on with their lives. Same trained crews, same checklist, same flat price as our regular clients. You just don't have to commit to anything after. Pick a date, see your price, and we'll bring the supplies. If you'd rather keep it going later, our recurring plans are right there when you want them.

What you can book
A single clean, sized to your moment.
Most people call us for one of five reasons. Here they are, plainly. See pricing or read how it works before you pick.
Book once, done
One Time Cleaning.
A one time cleaning is exactly what it sounds like: one crew, one visit, one price. Nothing repeats, nothing auto-charges. We use the same every-visit checklist our weekly clients get, so the kitchen gets scrubbed, the bathrooms get sanitized, floors get vacuumed and mopped, and beds get made. It's the right pick when your home is basically fine but life got busy - a stretch of takeout dinners, a long work run, a stack of laundry that took over the bedroom.
If it's been many months, or the place has never had a professional clean, book the deep clean version instead so we have time for the inside of appliances and the built-up stuff. Not sure which? Tell us in your booking notes and we'll flag it before your date. Full task list lives on our cleaning checklist.
Most of NYC lives in apartments
Apartment Cleaning.
Small spaces are harder to clean well, not easier. Every surface is doing three jobs and there's nowhere for clutter to hide. Our crews work tight galley kitchens, compact bathrooms, and buildings with strict service-entrance rules every day - pre-war walk-ups in the Upper East Side, converted lofts in Williamsburg, six-story buildings in Astoria with no elevator at all.
We coordinate with the front desk, follow the freight elevator rules, and carry our own supplies up the stairs without complaining about it. Booking a single visit for an apartment is the most common request we recieve. More detail on our apartment cleaning page.

Top to bottom, inside out
Deep Cleaning.
A deep clean is the one-time version with the volume turned up. Inside the oven and fridge. Behind and under furniture where the dust bunnies live. Baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, cabinet interiors, tile grout, and the radiator dust that piles up over a whole New York winter. It takes longer and costs more, and it's the right call before a new baby, after a renovation, or during allergy season - the EPA's indoor air quality guidance points out how fast dust and allergens build up in closed-up city apartments.
Some clients book the deep clean as a seperate first visit, then switch to standard visits after. See what a deep cleaning includes next to the standard list to compare.
Before the keys change hands
Move In and Move Out Cleaning.
Moving in this city is stressful enough without scrubbing an empty apartment at 11pm. If your moving out, we follow the same checks a landlords final walkthrough covers: inside cabinets and drawers, inside the oven and fridge, bathroom fixtures, closet floors, baseboards, and every corner someone will actually look at. Bring the boxes out first if you can - an empty room cleans far better than a half-packed one.
Moving in? We come before the furniture does, so night one is in a genuinely clean place, not someone else's leftover grime. Tell us about elevator reservations and building certificate-of-insurance requirements when you book. New York renters can read up on their rights through NYC Housing Preservation & Development. Start with move-out cleaning, move-in cleaning, or the combined move-in and move-out service- and use code MOVE30 to save $30.
If one visit becomes a habit
Recurring Cleaning.
Plenty of people book one clean, look around the apartment that evening, and decide they'd like to feel that way more often. That's fine - and it's cheaper. Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly recurring plans carry a standing discount, and you can pause or move a visit through your account. There's no penalty for staying a one-time client either. We'd rather you book the thing you actually need.
More ways we clean
Same crew, different job.
All of these can be booked as a single visit. Nothing here requires a plan or a phone call.
Standard Basic Cleaning
The everyday clean. Kitchen counters and stovetop, bathrooms sanitized, dusting through living areas and bedrooms, floors vacuumed and mopped, trash out, beds made. Good for a home that's been kept up and just needs a reset.
See the standard task list →Residential Cleaning
We only clean homes - apartments, condos, brownstones, co-ops, townhouses. No offices, no retail. That focus is why our crews know how to work around a sleeping baby, a nervous cat, and a doorman who needs the the elevator back by two.
Residential cleaning across NYC →Maid Service
A trained, insured cleaner working a set checklist, with the same person assigned whenever the schedule allows. Book it once or set it up ongoing. Most clients start with one visit to see how it feels.
Maid service in New York City →Housekeeping Service
Lighter, more frequent upkeep for people who host often or work from home: surfaces, kitchen, baths, floors, laundry-adjacent tidying. Ideal for brownstone owners in Brooklyn and pre-war apartments uptown.
Housekeeping options →Same Day Cleaning Service
Sometimes the flight lands tonight. Same-day depends entirely on that day's open slots and your neighborhood, so call us instead of waiting on email. We'll tell you straight away if we can get someone there.
Check same-day availability →AirBnB Cleaning Service
Guest-out, guest-in turnovers with linens changed, bathrooms reset, kitchen restocked-ready, and a quick photo check when you ask for it. Hosts in LIC, Bushwick, and Harlem book these one at a time or on a calendar.

Nine reasons people book just once.
Surgery recovery, open houses, birthday parties, a month away for work - here's what New Yorkers say after a single visit. Read all reviews >
"After a minor surgery, I was stuck on the couch and the grime in the bathroom was starting to stress me out. They arranged a one time cleaning specifically to tackle the kitchen and bathroom, which made a world of difference. Having a spotless, sterile environment has made my recovery so much more comfortable."
"Our wedding was two weeks ago, and the aftermath of the engagement party made our loft look like a disaster zone. We called for a one time cleaning to get us back to normal, and they handled the wine spills and confetti with ease. We can finally enjoy looking at our wedding photos without seeing the mess in the background."
"I am coordinating a move for my elderly mother who is downsizing to assisted living, and she was overwhelmed by the clutter and grime. We hired this company for a one time cleaning to help sort and sanitize her place before the estate sale. Their work was fast, respectful, and her home now looks peaceful and clean."
"My son's first birthday party is tomorrow, and the house was covered in dust and dog hair from our Golden Retriever. I'm so glad I booked this one time cleaning because the floors are gleaming and the house smells incredible. Now I can focus on the cake instead of scrubbing the baseboards."
"I am a new real estate agent and I had a last-minute open house scheduled for a unit that was in total disarray. The team swooped in and executed a stellar one time cleaning that truly staged the apartment perfectly. The open house was a huge success and I got three offers, all thanks to how pristine the place looked."
"We are a family of five and the kitchen was a mess after a few weeks of takeout. We just needed a one time cleaning to help us hit the reset button, and they made the oven and microwave look new again. It is such a relief to walk into a clean kitchen in the morning."
"With our new roommate moving in next week, we needed to clear out his room which was acting as a storage unit filled with boxes. We booked a one time cleaning and they vacuumed and dusted the entire space until it was guest-ready. He was thrilled to move into a spotless room."
"I just returned from a month-long business trip to a stale, dusty apartment that was really depressing to come home to. I used this service for a one time cleaning the very next morning, and they even got the deep-set stains out of my rugs. It feels like a brand-new home again."
"We had a water leak that left our floor looking rough, and we scheduled a one time cleaning to handle the post-renovation debris. They were extremely thorough with their work and the house feels much safer for the kids to run around in. They took a stressful situation and made it spotless."

Questions and answers
The details before you book.
These are the questions we get most about booking a single clean. Every answer is open by default, so nothing is hidden behind a click. Still curious? Our full FAQ page goes deeper.
Is a one time cleaning different from your regular service? 01
The cleaning itself is identical - same crews, same standard checklist, same supplies. The only difference is that nothing repeats and nothing charges again. Recurring clients get a standing discount for committing to a schedule, so a single visit costs slightly more per clean. That's the whole difference.
How do I know if I need a deep clean instead? 02
Rough rule: if a professional has cleaned the place in the last two or three months, a standard one-time visit is fine. If it's been longer, or there's oven grease, soap scum in the grout, or dust on top of the cabinets, book the deep cleaning. Unsure? Describe your place in the booking notes and we'll tell you before your date rather than surprising you on the day.
Do you bring cleaning supplies? 03
Yes. Our teams arrive with professional supplies and equipment, so you never have to stock a thing. Prefer green products for kids or pets? Ask for EPA Safer Choice certified products in your booking notes and we will use them. If you love a specific product for a specific surface, leave it out with a note and the team will use it.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning? 04
No. Most of our clients are at work while we clean. Doorman handoff, lockbox, or a smart-lock code all work - just add access instructions in your booking notes. We coordinate with front desks and follow building rules so you don't have to. See preparing for your cleaning for a quick pre-visit rundown.
Can I book a one time cleaning for today? 05
Sometimes, yes - it depends entirely on that day's schedule and your location. Guests landing tonight? Book online or call (646) 825-3550 and we'll confirm the earliest available team. More on our same-day cleaning page. Booking a day or two ahead always gives you more time options.
How long does a single visit take? 06
A studio or one-bedroom standard clean usually runs two to three hours. Larger apartments and deep cleans take longer, and move-out cleans on an empty home often run the longest because we're getting inside cabinets and appliances. Your booking confirmation shows the expected window before you pay.
What if I need to move or cancel my visit? 07
Reschedule or cancel through your account or by calling us. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy lays out the notice window. And if something's missed, tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and re-clean that area at no charge - see the satisfaction guarantee.

One-Time Deep Clean · Jackson Heights, Queens"My partner just got out of the hospital, and I was so focused on his care that the apartment became cluttered and dirty.
