House Cleaning Service Flatiron District Neighbors Keep Calling Back
Between the offices on Fifth, the cast-iron lofts along Broadway, and the co-ops off Park Avenue South, nobody in this neighborhood has a spare Saturday. Lily Maids is the house cleaning service Flatiron District residents book when they want it handled: insured, background-checked cleaners, flat upfront pricing, and online booking in about 60 seconds. You keep your weekend. We handle the clean.
A real Lily Maids story
Sarah's in-laws landed at 6.
We started at 1.
Sarah J. lives two blocks off Madison Square Park, and she called us on a Thursday with the kind of panic we hear a lot in this neighborhood. Her in-laws were coming for their very first visit, the guest room had turned into a storage unit, and she had about five hours. Her words after: "This house cleaning team came in and made everything spotless and welcoming in just a few hours. My mother-in-law even commented on how fresh and clean the guest room smelled!"
That is the job. Sometimes its a rescue mission with a countdown. Sometimes its the same apartment every other Tuesday for two years. Lily Maids is a locally owned team of insured, background-checked cleaners, and the Flatiron District is one of our busiest pockets of Manhattan. We know which buildings on West 22nd want the service elevator reserved. We know the front desks on Park Avenue South that need a name on a list before 9am. Whether you want a one-time reset, a deep cleaning that finally handles the radiator grime, or a recurring plan that keeps the place ready all the time, the flow is the same: pick a time, see a flat price, come home to clean.

Our services
Every clean a Flatiron home could need.
Ask anyone around 23rd Street what they run short on and you get the same answer: hours in the day. Pick the service that fits, book it online, and we take it from there. See pricing or how it works.
Most of this neighborhood lives in one
Apartment Cleaning in the Flatiron District.
Small spaces are harder to clean well, not easier. Every counter does triple duty and clutter has nowhere to hide. Alot of Flatiron apartments are converted loft space with high ceilings, exposed brick, and one bathroom shared by three people, which means dust settles high and grime builds low. Our teams work top to bottom so nothing drops onto a surface we already finished.
We also know the buildings. The cast-iron conversions along Broadway and Fifth mostly sit inside the Ladies' Mile Historic District, protected by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission, and a lot of them have original hardwood, tin ceilings, and pre-war window frames that need a gentler hand than a new-build glass tower. We adjust products to the surface instead of blasting everything with the same spray. Need it ongoing? Our apartment cleaning pairs well with a bi-weekly plan.
Trained, insured, background-checked
Maid Service you can leave the keys with.
A maid service only works if you trust the person walking in while you're at the office. Every Lily Maids cleaner is background-checked and insured before they ever take a job, and we send the same team back to your apartment whenever the schedule allows. That matters more than people expect. By the third visit your cleaner already knows the shower door sticks, the cat hides under the bed, and you like the throw pillows a certain way.
If you'd rather compare us against other options first, the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection has straightforward guidance on hiring home service providers in the city. We'd rather you check than wonder. Ready when you are: maid service New York City.
The every-visit baseline
Standard Basic Cleaning done right.
This is the workhorse. Kitchen counters, stovetop, sink, appliance fronts, cabinet doors. Bathrooms scrubbed and sanitized top to bottom. Dusting through the living areas and bedrooms, mirrors and glass wiped, beds made, floors vacuumed and mopped, trash out. Nothing exotic, just done properly and done the same way every time, thats the whole point of a standard.
Because the scope is fixed you always know what you're paying for. No mystery line items, no "well, that wasn't included." If you want the room-by-room breakdown before you book, read what a standard cleaning includes or the full cleaning checklist.
Homes, not offices
Residential Cleaning is all we do.
We are a residential cleaning company. Not a commercial janitorial outfit that also takes apartments on the side. That distinction shows up in the details: we work around a sleeping toddler, we don't use industrial chemicals in a room with a crib, and we treat your kitchen like somebody actually eats in it.
Flatiron gives us a real spread of homes. Studio walk-ups above the shops on Sixth. Family apartments in the doorman buildings on Park Avenue South. Renovated three-bedrooms near Gramercy that host Thanksgiving for fourteen people. Same crew, same standard, adjusted to the home in front of us. If you want ongoing help across a rental property or a few units, we do that too.

Top to bottom, inside out
Deep Cleaning for the stuff you stopped seeing.
Every apartment has spots the weekly wipe-down never reaches. Inside the oven and the fridge. Behind and under furniture. Baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, cabinet interiors, and the radiator dust that piles up all winter behind a pre-war cover. A deep clean gets all of it in one visit.
It also fixes air quality problems people blame on the weather. Danielle W. down the street had allergies flaring for months and figured it was pollen. It was pet dander in the upholstery and dust on surfaces nobody had touched in a year. We ran a seperate pass on the fabric and every hard surface, and her breathing changed within a day. If you want an outside read on which products and methods actually pull their weight, Consumer Reports tests cleaning gear pretty rigorously. See what a deep cleaning includes.
Before the keys change hands
Move in and Move out Cleaning without the midnight scrub.
Moving in Manhattan is miserable enough without scrubbing an empty apartment at 11pm the night before you recieve your final walkthrough. Our move-out cleaning follows the same checklists Flatiron landlords and management companies actually use at inspection: inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside every cabinet and closet, window sills, baseboards, and the marks the couch left on the wall.
Michael R. booked one two blocks from here in the middle of a chaotic move and got his full deposit back. Moving in instead? Our move-in cleaning happens before the boxes land, so night one is in a genuinely clean place, not somebody else's dust. We handle turnover cleaning for owners too. One tip specific to this neighborhood: reserve the service elevator early, because the older loft buildings around here book them out fast on the first and last of the month. Code MOVE30 takes $30 off.
Ongoing care
Recurring Cleaning that keeps up with you.
The best-kept apartments in this neighborhood aren't cleaned harder, they're cleaned regularly. Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly plans give home care a slot on the the calendar before your inbox eats the whole weekend. It also costs less per visit, because we're maintaining instead of digging out.
Stephanie R. set up a recurring plan for her mother, who has mobility issues and was struggling to keep her own place safe. Robert S. did something similar for his father nearby. Both of them describe the same thing: one less worry, every single week. Start with a deep clean, then settle into a rhythm. See recurring plans and the plan discounts.
No subscription required
One Time Cleaning for the week that got away.
Sometimes you don't need a plan, you need one good clean right now. Guests landing. A party you agreed to host in a moment of weakness. Three weeks of travel and a layer of dust on everything. Book a single visit, pay a flat price, and thats it, no plan, no cancellation dance.
Brian T. came back from a three-week business trip to a dust-covered apartment and booked exactly one clean. Patricia G. surprised her college-age daughter with one before winter break. Both were definately one-and-done, and both got the same crew and checklist a weekly client gets. Book a one-time cleaning whenever it suits you.

Nine Flatiron homes, same standard.
New babies, surgeries, Thanksgiving dinners, renovations - here's what neighbors say after we leave. Read all reviews >
"With a newborn arriving from the hospital tomorrow, we needed our home to be perfectly sanitized. This house cleaning company handled the 'nesting' clean with so much care, especially in the nursery. I can now relax and focus on the baby instead of worrying about dust."
"My work schedule has been relentless, and my apartment hadn't had a deep clean in months. I hired this house cleaning service, and they tackled all the grime and clutter I had let pile up. Coming home to a sparkling clean space has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders."
"I arranged for a deep clean for my elderly father who lives nearby, as he can no longer manage the stairs or the vacuum. The house cleaning team was so respectful and gentle, and they left his place safer and cleaner than it has been in years. He feels so much happier and more comfortable in his home now."
"We hosted Thanksgiving this year, and I was dreading the pre-dinner cleaning. The house cleaning experts were incredibly efficient, scrubbing the kitchen and polishing the dining area until they shined. The meal went perfectly, and I didn't have to stress about the mess."
"I came back from a three-week business trip to find my apartment covered in a layer of dust. I called this house cleaning company, and they did a phenomenal job removing allergens and making the air feel fresh again. It was amazing to come home to a place that finally felt clean."
"With a new roommate moving in next week, I wanted the apartment to make a great first impression. This house cleaning service did a fantastic job with the common areas and the empty bedroom. It made the transition so much smoother and less stressful for everyone."
"I've been recovering from a surgery and couldn't manage to clean up the post-renovation dust in my home office. The house cleaning team was a lifesaver, clearing out the debris and giving the room a deep scrub. It felt amazing to finally have a clean and calm space to work again."
"My allergies were flaring up horribly because of the pet dander and dust buildup in my apartment. I requested a specialized deep clean, and the house cleaning service scrubbed every surface and vacuumed the upholstery. The difference in air quality was immediate, and I can finally breathe easily again."
"We just finished a major renovation and the entire apartment was covered in a layer of fine dust. This house cleaning crew did a fantastic post-construction cleanup that saved me hours of labor. They made the new space look absolutely immaculate and ready to live in."
More ways we help
Three services people ask for by name.
Beyond the standard menu, these three come up constantly in the Flatiron District. Each one books the same way, online in about a minute.
Ongoing upkeep
Housekeeping Service for homes that stay busy.
Housekeeping is a little different from a cleaning. A cleaning resets the apartment. Housekeeping keeps it from ever getting away from you. Think dishes cleared, beds made, laundry started, bathrooms wiped, surfaces tidied, and the general low-level chaos of a lived-in home put back in order on a regular rhythm.
It's the most common request we get from families near Madison Square Park with two working parents and a kid in school. Kevin M. described the exact scenario: two jobs, a sick toddler, and a house in total chaos. What he needed wasn't a once-a-year deep dig, it was somebody showing up steadily. Pair housekeeping with a recurring plan and the apartment basically never falls behind again.
When the clock is the problem
Same Day Cleaning Service for the emergencies.
Somebody's flight got moved up. The showing is tomorrow morning, not next week. Your mother-in-law decided to surprise you. We keep some slack in the Manhattan schedule for exactly these calls, and the Flatiron District is central enough that a team can usually get to you faster here than almost anywhere else in the city.
Honest expectation setting: same-day depends on the day. Call (646) 825-3550 rather than only booking online, because a human can see the live schedule and tell you the earliest realistic arrival. Emily K. got a same-day rescue before a surprise engagement party and her guests never knew the living room had been a disaster four hours earlier. More detail on same-day cleaning.
For hosts and owners
AirBnB Cleaning Service between every guest.
Short-term rental cleaning is its own discipline. The window is tight, the standard is photographic, and a single missed hair in the shower turns into a four-star review that costs you money for months. We work from a turnover checklist rather then a general cleaning list: linens stripped and remade, bathroom reset to hotel standard, kitchen emptied and wiped, supplies restocked, and a final walk-through with fresh eyes.
We can also flag maintenance issues we spot along the way, which is usually how hosts find out about the slow drain before a guest does. See short-term rental cleaning, turnover cleaning, or the rental cleaning checklist.
More ways we clean.
One-time resets, spring refreshes, and morning-after party cleanups. If it needs cleaning in the Flatiron District, there's a good chance we do it.

Questions and answers
The details before you book.
These are the questions Flatiron District clients ask us most. Every answer is open by default, so nothing is hidden behind a click. Still curious? Our full FAQ page goes deeper.
What is included in a standard house cleaning? 01
Every standard visit covers the kitchen (counters, stovetop, sink, appliance exteriors, cabinet fronts), bathrooms (tub, shower, toilet, vanity, mirrors), all living areas and bedrooms (dusting, surfaces, mirrors, beds made), plus vacuuming and mopping throughout and trash removal. See the full standard cleaning checklist and our complete cleaning checklist for the room-by-room detail.
Do you clean apartments in Flatiron loft buildings? 02
Constantly. A lot of this neighborhood is cast-iron conversions with high ceilings, original wood floors, and exposed brick, and those surfaces want a different approach than a new glass tower. We use gentler products on aged wood and tin, and we work high-to-low so ceiling dust doesn't land on a counter we just finished. Tell us about any surface you're protective of in the booking notes and we'll plan around it.
Do you bring cleaning supplies? 03
Yes. Our teams arrive with professional supplies and equipment, so you never have to stock a thing. Prefer green products for kids or pets? Ask for eco-certified products in your booking notes and we will use them. If you love a specific product for a specific surface, leave it out with a note and the team will use it instead of ours.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning? 04
No. Most of our Flatiron clients are at the office while we clean. Doorman handoff, lockbox, or a smart-lock code all work - just add access instructions in your booking notes. If your building needs a name on the front desk list, tell us and we'll give you the cleaner's name in advance. See preparing for your cleaning for a quick pre-visit rundown.
Can I book same-day cleaning in the Flatiron District? 05
Often, yes. Being this central helps, since a team finishing nearby can sometimes shift straight to you. It still depends on that day's schedule, so call (646) 825-3550 instead of only booking online and we'll tell you the earliest realistic arrival. More on our same-day cleaning page. Booking a day or two ahead always gives you the most time slots.
How does move-out cleaning work here? 06
Your home should be empty, or close to it, so we can reach inside cabinets, the oven, the fridge, and the corners a landlord checks at walkthrough. Two Flatiron-specific notes: reserve the service elevator early, because the loft buildings around here fill those slots fast on the first and last of the month, and confirm whether your building requires a certificate of insurance from vendors. Follow our move-out cleaning checklist for the full scope - and code MOVE30 saves $30 on any move-in or move-out cleaning.
Can you clean up after a renovation? 07
Yes, and it's a common ask in this neighborhood because so many units get gut-renovated. Construction dust is fine enough that it settles into everything twice, which is why a normal cleaning doesn't touch it. We do a full pass, let the air settle, then go again on surfaces. Christopher A. and James H. both booked exactly this. It's priced as a deep cleaning, since that's the real scope of work.
Can you sanitize after someone in the house was sick? 08
Yes. After a cold or flu runs through the household, we focus on high-touch surfaces: door handles, switches, faucets, remotes, and bathroom fixtures. That's exactly what we did for Kevin M. when his family was passing a bug around. Add a note at booking and we'll prioritize disinfection over cosmetic detail work.
What if I am not happy with the clean? 09
Tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean the areas in question at no charge. That is our promise on every visit, in every borough. Read the full satisfaction guarantee for how it works.
