Why spring hits harder here
A New York winter leaves a lot behind.
In a house with a yard, dirt mostly stays outside. In a fifth-floor walk-up in Queens, it comes right in with you. Boots bring road salt. Radiators cook dust and push it around all day. A spring clean is a deep clean with a season attached to it. Same work, same care. We go after everything a weekly tidy skips: inside the oven, inside the fridge, cabinet interiors if you empty them, behind and under furniture we can safely move, baseboards, door frames, light switches, vents, blinds, window sills, and radiator covers. Tile and grout get scrubbed instead of wiped.
It takes longer than a standard visit and it costs more, and we will tell you that straight before you book. Most one-bedroom apartments run three to five hours with a two-person team. Small apartments are harder to clean well, not easier. Every surface works overtime and there is nowhere for clutter to hide. Our crews are trained for narrow galley kitchens, three-foot bathrooms, and pre-war closets that were never meant to hold this much stuff.
We also know the building side of it, which matters more than people expect. We check in with doormen, use service elevators when the building asks us to, book freight when its required, and climb walk-ups without charging you extra for the stairs. Spring cleaning gets the headlines, but plenty of people call us for something smaller and simpler. These are the other visits we book most often in New York City.
Standard Basic Cleaning
This is the regular visit. Kitchens scrubbed, bathrooms sanitized, surfaces dusted, floors vacuumed and mopped, beds made, trash out. No oven interiors, no moving heavy furniture, no cabinet insides. It is the right call when your place is already in decent shape and you just want it properly clean by dinner.
A lot of people book a standard basic cleaning after a spring clean and then keep it going. If you are not sure which one you need, look at the sills and the baseboards. Grey line? You want the deep version first. Clean? Standard is plenty. Full detail lives on our standard cleaning checklist.
Residential Cleaning
We only clean homes. No offices, no retail, no construction sites. That sounds like a limit but its the reason we are good at this. Homes have pets, kids, prescription bottles on the counter, a wobbly shelf you are supposed to know about, and a neighbor who bangs on the ceiling. Office cleaning does not teach you any of that.
So all of our residential cleaning training is about houses and apartments: which surfaces take which product, how to work around someone on a work call, what to do when a cabinet is clearly not ours to open. Everything gets photographed and reported back to you if something looks broken or leaking before we touched it.
One Time Cleaning
No contract, no plan, no commitment. Book once and that is it. This is the most common way people try us out, and its also what most spring cleanings are: a single big visit, done once a year, then back to normal.

Housekeeping is a bit different from cleaning, and people mix them up all the time. Cleaning is the scrubbing. Housekeeping is the keeping. Beds changed with fresh linens, laundry folded, dishes run, towels swapped, the kitchen reset so the room is usable again.
Families with young kids ask for this a lot, and so do people who travel for work and come home to a fridge that needs emptying. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends entirely on what is open on the schedule that morning and where you are in the city. Manhattan and Long Island City are usually easiest to fill because we already have crews moving through there.

AirBnB Cleaning Service
Short-term rental turnovers are their own animal. The window is tight, the standard has to be identical every single time, and one bad review over a hair in the shower can cost you a month of bookings. We clean to a fixed turnover checklist so nothing depends on who shows up.
Linens stripped and remade, bathrooms reset with fresh amenities, kitchen returned to zero, floors done, and a quick photo report if you want proof before the next guest checks in. What's the difference between spring cleaning and a standard clean? 01
A standard clean handles the surfaces you see: counters, bathrooms, floors, dusting, beds. A spring clean is a deep clean, so it adds inside the oven and fridge, behind and under furniture we can safely move, baseboards, door frames, window sills, blinds, vents, radiator covers, and grout scrubbing. How long does a spring cleaning take in a NYC apartment? 02
A one-bedroom usually runs three to five hours with a two-person team. A studio can be quicker. Larger homes, or homes that have not had a deep clean in over a year, take longer. Condition matters more than square footage, so tell us honestly how long it has been and we will book the right amount of time instead of rushing it.
When is the best time to book a spring clean? 03
March through May is our busiest stretch, and weekend slots in April go first. If you want a Saturday, book two or three weeks ahead. Weekday mornings open up much more easily. Honestly, a "spring" clean works in any month - plenty of clients book one in September before the windows close again for winter.
Do you bring cleaning supplies? 04
Yes. Our teams arrive with professional supplies and equipment, so you never have to stock a thing. Prefer green products for kids or pets? Ask for EPA Safer Choice certified products in your booking notes and we will use them. If you love a specific product for a specific surface, leave it out with a note and the team will use it.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning? 05
No. Most of our clients are at work while we clean. Doorman handoff, lockbox, or a smart-lock code all work - just add access instructions in your booking notes. Should I declutter before you arrive? 06
A little helps a lot. We clean, we do not organize your belongings, so clear counters and floors mean we spend the time scrubbing instead of shuffling. Empty the cabinets you want cleaned inside. Beyond that, do not stress about it - nobody needs to clean before the cleaners come.
Can you help with allergy season? 07
A spring clean removes a lot of settled dust, which is what most people are reacting to indoors in April and May. We focus on soft surfaces, sills, vents, blinds and behind furniture where dust collects. We are not an air quality or remediation company, so if you have mold or a water damage problem you need a licensed specialist, not a cleaning crew. We will tell you if we see something like that.
